Join us for our first masterclass, dedicated to those embarking on their career in supervision
As a Guild we strive to be a resource for both established professionals and the up-and-coming individuals. The next generation of supervisors are out there and we want to help them grow their knowledge base and get the best possible start to their supervision career.
Introduction to Music Supervision is dedicated to exactly those individuals. This masterclass will provide an insight into the world of supervision and the work of a music supervisor (spoiler alert, there’s a lot more to it than choosing music!).
Attendees will be in good hands as leading this masterclass will be Ian Neil and Matt Biffa. Ian Neil’s knowledge of the creative industries is extensive. He’s currently Director of Film & TV at Sony Music and his previous supervision credits include Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, Kick-Ass, 127 Hours, Breathe, Kingsman: The Golden Circle and the list goes on.
Matt Biffa is also well versed in licensing and supervision. Often heralded as a musical Wikipedia, his tastes are eclectic and often reflected in his work. His career highlight is putting together a wizarding rock group consisting of Jarvis Cocker, Jonny Greenwood & Philip Selway for Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire and other credits include The End of the F***ing World, Paddington, Fresh Meat and more.
If you’re considering a career in supervision, or perhaps you’re working at a rights holder and would like to know more about the work of a supervisor, then get yourself down to this masterclass.
