New Signings: Believe Sync's 3 Record LabelsBy The GMS Team 01-Oct-2018
This month's new signings comes from our friends over at Believe Sync.
2018 has been an exciting one for us here at Believe Sync, with new signings and exciting new music coming thick and fast. We’re working with artists at all stages of their careers and across a host of genres; from development acts just breaking onto their scene to established pioneers, from beautiful acoustic pop to experimental techno.
Our label roster includes Naïve (M83, Jeanne Added), Animal63 (The Blaze), Greco-Roman (Roosevelt, Joe Goddard) and DnB legends Metalheadz. 2019 will also see releases from the likes of Orbital, Razorlight and Devlin.
However, here, we’d like to highlight some new additions to 3 in-house record labels in London. AllPoints, Phases and A4Ward.
One of the most exciting releases of the year will come from AllPoints’ Novo Amor, who’s debut LP ‘Birthplace’ is due in October, but there’s a host of new additions to the roster who are equally engaging. Roses Gabor’s first AllPoints single ‘Illusions’ featured none other than mercury-winning Sampha and is a taster of the forward-facing pop coming in her debut album. Elsewhere singer-songwriter Brooke Bentham blends her exceptional voice, razor sharp lyrics and layers of dramatic production across 2 Eps for the label, with an album due in the near future.
Phases is the sister label to AllPoints and is our home for neo-classical, ambient and electronic artists. This year has already seen the release of Erland Cooper’s spectacular ‘Solan Goose’, plus Emmy nominated composer Patrick Jonsson’s first album on the imprint – ‘Suddenly We Looked Like Giants’’ is a beautifully restrained yet emotionally compelling LP of orchestral tracks. Believe favourite Max Cooper moves across to Phases for his new LP of electronic cuts ‘One Hundred Billion Sparks’, and we’ll also have music from Peter Sandberg, Stray Ghost and The Last Dinosaur before the year is through.
Finally, the newest addition to the Believe London roster; A4Ward is a home to new and established acts in the world of hip hop, rap, R&B, reggae and beyond. Grime heavyweight Double S puts out his mixtape ‘The Biggest’, with features from Skepta, Mr.Eazi, Ms.Banks and Sneakbo to name a few. James Vickery brings the soul with his unbelievable vocal delivery, and Frankie Stew & Harvey Gunn chill us out with their ambient hip-hop.
With all the above, plus plenty more, this is just the tip of the iceberg. For more info on any of these artists or labels, get in touch at believesync.com.
