The Guild Venture to Barcelona
We'll be seeing you at this year's Sync SessionsBy Ella Joy - UK & European Guild of Music Supervisors 08-Jun-2017
After the success of last year’s Sync Sessions conference at Metropolis Studios, the Sync Sessions are moving to a new and sunnier location; Barcelona. Held in conjunction with Future Music Forum, this year the sessions will be hosted from the 14th — 15th September. After two successful years at Metropolis Studios, the Sync Sessions have emigrated to The Old Estrella Damm Brewery, where the sync industry’s key players will meet.
This two day conference promises an abundance of informative and thought provoking panels. Previously covered topics include “Creative Licensing: What do brands look for in music”, and "Are We Selling Our Souls?”. With over 300 industry professionals attending each year, the Sync Sessions are the place to be for a rare insight into the rich tapestry of modern music business. Last year, our partners, Music Gateway hosted The Supervisor Mentoring Sessions; a wonderful addition to the activities. This snippet of the Sync Sessions gave attendees the chance to network and seek personal advice from a some of the biggest industry figures in Music Supervision and Synchronisation.
We are delighted to announce that the Guild have been invited to host a panel this year, so some of the best supervisors will be bringing their collective knowledge to the scene, sharing their experience and advice with the attendees. We will be hosting our panel alongside industry colleagues and fellow creative individuals to provide another spectacular platform for growth within the ever-changing industry.
As an entity that promotes the work of supervisors across Europe, we’re excited to head to Barcelona. It offers the opportunity for us to network with fresh faces on new turf and raise awareness of our goals and intentions. We look forward to chatting over a cold one - let us know if you’ll be there!
