Music Week Sync Awards – 2017

Guild of Music Supervisors announced as Media Partners for the awards

The Sync Awards are back! This October, the annual event is returning, brought to you by Music Week and NewBay. This year, the event is set to take place at 8 Northumberland Avenue, London on 19th October 2017.

This event is a celebration of some of the best individuals, teams and placements across the creative industries over the past 12 months. Applications are now open so visit  www.syncawards.com to apply (applications close on 10th July 2017).

We’re very pleased to announce that The Guild of Music Supervisors are partnering with this years awards. We will be part of the team, advising on the judging process and criteria, ensuring that all of the key areas are covered and represented.

Last year, the event was a great success, with lots of laughter, celebration and meeting of like minded individuals. It brought the success of artists such as Jamie N Commons, who won the Sync Artist Of The Year award, and senior board member Rupert Hollier took home the award for Overall Sync of the Year for House of Fraser’s #YourRules Christmas campaign featuring Grace’s You Don’t Own Me.

This year is a particularly exciting year, because a selection of new categories have been added to the list, including Overall TV Series SoundtrackOverall Film SoundtrackBest Sync – Video Game SoundtrackBest Branded Entertainment and Best Social Media/Online Partnership. We’re really looking forward to hearing the winners for these additions.

For the first time, there is an after party this year, thanks to TAPE London. Attendees will be invited to TAPE, in Hanover Square from 10pm on 19th October. TAPE is a wonderful venue choice; perfect for a celebration of music as it has hosted an array of incredible artists over the years, such as The Weeknd, Skream, ASAP Rocky and so many more big names. We will see you there!
