SensoriaPro 2019

A day filled with the latest innovations in music and the moving image.

By The GMS Team

SensoriaPro is a unique, informal gathering of composers, filmmakers, music publishers, music supervisors, games developers and festivals all under one roof to discuss the latest innovations in music and the moving image. A must-attend event with a stunning line up of speakers, direct access to international buyers and informal, friendly networking. The event this year takes place in the historic Town Hall approx. 5 minutes walk from the railway station.

We caught up with Ian Neil, Head of Music for Film, Sony, who gave us an insight into this upcoming event.”SensoriaPro is one day at the festival with an informal gathering of composers, filmmakers, music publishers, music supervisors, musicians, rights holders, games developers etc all under one roof to discuss the latest innovations in music and the moving image. It’s always been very informal and friendly networking.”
He continued by telling us how the Scoring Contest panel he is a part of, came to be.
“I suggested a music to picture panel some years ago and this has proved very popular. This year, budding wannabe composers have a chance to work on a computer game trailer with a James Bond-esque theme brief.”
With this in mind, he then reminds us why the city is a wonderful host for the Sensoria Festival.
“Sheffield is a great city and one steeped with musical history and it’s a joy to visit there every year. Always meet new interesting peopleand the organisers always put on a great festival every year.”
